I have notoriously cold feet and even with two pairs of socks, most boots do not keep my feet warm. I just shoveled for an hour in 14 degree weather and my feet stayed dry and warm! They have good traction and although they are heavy, they are comfortable.

These boots are comfortable, warm and they look good. Hiking with them on rocky terrain, they hold your ankle nicely and grip well. I would definitely recommend and will certainly buy again.

I have narrow feet and these work well. The fit is good and the toe box is roomy. I ordered my normal 7.5 and they fit fine with smartwool or regular socks. These do have a break-in period; my achilles tendons were sore the first couple times wearing them. They reminded me of downhill ski boots when I first put them on! But that means they are supportive to my ankles that like to roll. I didn't realize the laces were a hook lace up, so it took a bit getting used to lacing every time.I have worn these on 2+ mile walks most days for 3 months (dog walking). They handle snow, cold (into negatives), and gravel well. I wouldn't say they are any better than other boots with decent treads on ice.Summary:Fit good for narrow footSizing accurateHandles snow and coldBreak-in period needed

These boots are made for winter action and adventure. I needed a boot that could handle hiking in dirt, mud (that slick clay like mud), ice, and snow. These boots exceeded my expectations. I'm a true 7 with wider feet and the 7W were a perfect fit. Good grip and traction, felt confident walking up and down slick rocks and uneven terrain. Feet stayed warm, not sweaty, and dry even after walking in knee deep snow. Water completely repels off the leather, I didn't even spray scotchgard on them. And even after spending a week hiking around Colorado and Utah in winter conditions, they still look brand new after wiping them down.

I have wide feet (4.5"), narrow heels, high arches, and a great toe with limited flexibility. My feet are always cold. I usually wear a 9W but purchased 9.5M and they fit just fine. I walk 3mi/day on multiple surfaces and have found these boots to be supportive, comfortable, stable and warm. They do pretty well on ice as long as it isn't a solid ice sheet, able to grip whatever they can when on an icy snow-packed trail. I have hiked in snow at -10F and my feet stayed warm. However, on another occasion when it was 15F and we were standing around for 30 minutes, my feet did start getting cold. I wouldn't walk in more than 3-4 inches of snow without snowpants or gaiters, because the snow does get in the back/top of the boot. I've had no trouble driving in these boots. Overall I am very happy with these boots.Update: We experienced a string of -25F temps. Even with just one pair of socks (and a thermal layer and snowpants covering my legs) my feet were warm during the entire 45 minutes out walking each day.

They are great boots. Everything you could hope for. Durable, warm in very cold weather, waterproof ect. They do run small. I half sized up and they are perfect. If you have wide feet, you definitely want to get wide. They are very tight around the width. They definitely need to be broke in. If you can tough out a few wears to do so, its well worth it.

I loved hiking in these boots. my feet were kept warm and the grip was awesome. Although, I haven't used them on a more than easy hike, yet - I have a good feeling about these. I ordered a 7.5 when I normally wear a 7 - so I can layer socks if needed. The only draw back I noticed was that some snow crept in the top when coming down the hike. I'll have to figure that out as I hike more with these guys.

Finally a great boot for a female foot in the winter time. I really hope they keep making boots like this. I have worn out several Sorell packs which are warm, but sloppy and heavy. I was so happy to discover these. I highly recommend them they are warm, comfortable, and easy to walk in.

I initially bought the black pair. I am a solid 9.5, but ordered a 10 to have room for thicker socks. Unfortunately, even with thin socks my high arches pressed against the top of shoe making it feel uncomfortable. They did not have the black in a 10 wide, so I had to get a color that I really didn’t want. The 10 wide is perfect for thicker socks and for a person who wants or needs a little more room in their shoe. People who hike know that feet slightly swell by the end of the day. So for boots I try them on at the end of the day instead of the beginning. The black regular size would have caused foot discomfort toward the end of day for me. The grey ones fit perfect with medium or thick socks. I do not like the shoe laces on the grey ones either. I think if they put black laces on it would sell better on its own. So I will replace the laces too. I just wanted them in black. Big sigh…. Either way, it is a well made shoe and quite warm.

These filled a need in my winter gear. They are the warmest, best quality, most functional boot I've found. I like the narrower heel and wider toe area that OBOZ is known for. This is not a big, sloppy fit, if you have a wider foot or a high instep. I have a slender foot that is often a 7M, and the 7 1/2 fit me like a glove.
